I know the feeling. My sunshine hides all day!!! He's around 8 inches now but in a 210 gallon there is still plenty of places to hide

Thank you very much!! I work at my local petco as an aquatic specialist and every time we get them in their gut is very sunken sink, which is never a good sign. We place them in a planted tank with discus and driftwood. We only have algae wafers and shrimp pellets to feed them. The aufwuchs is...

So random question....I'm looking into buying a gold nugget pleco and wanted any input on their care. I've heard from a few people they are hard to keep. Any suggestions or experience?

My experience is that the common pleco can grow up to 18+ inches. They can live for quite a long time, I've heard over 10 years. Never had one that long before so idk. They are primarily algae grazers but supplement with aquatic wood is also good. That's my two cents

I've got a 40 gallon sump with a fountain pump that pumps over 1200 gallons an hour. So far the overflows have worked well. I did add a UV sterilizer to keep any algal blooms away and the system is working well.

well that is a good question. from all the information that i have they all prefer a pH of 7 or a tad lower. since i've had them they all seem to be doing great. all are eating well and don't show any signs of stress or disease. the pH of my water is around 8.2.

from my experience i have used stacked rocks to create hiding spots for my plecos and they seem to love them. be careful on how you stack them so they done fall but all my plecos are very happy with the rock formation that i build for them and i have a breeding pair of bnp, blue and green...

That is a beautiful tree!! (The bristles) it's good to see a good strain. Their also very fun to breed. I have a pair in my tank waiting for them to get large enough to breed.

As long as the tank is large enough and there are plenty of hiding places two males should be able to get along with each other. Each fish has their own temperament so some times it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Will these peacocks ever get Color?

From what it looks like to me there are a couple OB's and possibly blue morph dragon bloods (firefish) they look a lot like the ones I've got when they were young, can't say as they look any better now.
