I think thats a little crowded. I am planning on 2 clowns in my 25 at the max....and think that any type of dwarf really could use more than what we have.

I think every other day is a bit better on the feeding....and that eventually you tank will catch up to the increased bio load. .25 wont kill the clowns but keep a very close eye on it.

I agree with reese, and ran into the same thing. During my current nitrite spike im getting crazy nitrate readings. Once things zero out, then check it. :D

2 weeks into my cycle and the ammonia has been kinda dropping off (its .75-1 ppm or so right now) Nitrates have been going up and are at about 30 ppm. Nitrites have been elusive, i was only getting very low readings and my LFS tested them on thursday at .25 ppm. I havent tested all weekend and...

always fresh because the salt doesnt evaporate with the water. if you were to add salt water you would increase your SG (= bad)

The purpose of the water change is to remove nitrates from the water, so just topping it off wont help you. Its probably a better idea to not let it get down in level(keep adding fresh), so that when you do a change its not too drastic. In order to get some nitrates out you would have to pull...

What do you reccomend as far as clean up crew's are concerned? I plan on having 2 clowns and some zoo's on my 30lbs of hirock. I have no earthly idea what type of cleaner crew to get. -Jason

this depends on a ton of factors. it will go quicker with cured LR but count on at least 3 weeks.

Just ordered the 65 watt strip w/ moonlight...so far the tally is up to 241 bucks for my first sw tank including everything. And to think it all started with a left over tank.....

Will the zoo's snag flake food out of the water? I was planning on feeding my clowns osi spirulina.

Awesome, I think im going to go ahead and get the 65 watt current usa hood for my tank for about 60 bucks. Ill keep zoos on my 30lbs base rock with this light. Should provide nice color to go along with my clowns. Ill use this as a starter light for my 23 gal and probably bump up to vho's or mh...

I love that sebae. Is it true that w/ enough light you dont have to feed those things?

What do I need to keep these things? Watts per gallon, food, suppliments etc. Ive head they are one of the easiest corals to keep. Id love to have them covering the rock in my 23 gal. Any info is much appreciated. -Jason
