I think I'm having a hair algae outbreak in my 7 month old reef aquarium. I just noticed it a few weeks ago and performed a few extra water changes but nothing has stopped it from growing. Any suggestions? I know I need rodi I've ordered it but I didn't have a issue for the first 6 months is it...

Ya it's not bubble algae it's a plant of some sort. It has a vine and round balls on it.

I have a bunch of small tube looking things on my rocks and they keep having something coming out of them. It looks like a hair is stuck on the end of it but it's not hair. There is one right above the mushroom

I'm wondering how everyone keeps dust out of their aquarium? I always have a ton of dust floating on the top of my water then it gets mixed in. Thought about putting a glass top on it but will my lights shine through it? Any ideas would be appreciated

Ya that's them....weird part is the pet store was selling them. He had a rock covered in them and wanted $60 for it. Lol I saw this piece had one mixed in with the zoas and when I asked him he said it was fine. Ugh they just want to make money. Think I'm done doing business there.....third time...

I bought some zoas at the pet store and it had one little thing that look like a BTA and it's the same size as a Zoa. Sorry for the bad pics it's the best I could get. Any ideas what these are? Yup sure is....I had a feeling he killed a few zoas....guess I'll put him in the sump until I can get to the pet store

I noticed today my clown fish have dug a hole in the sand. Is this a sign they are thinking about laying eggs?

I've tried everything to get my mushrooms to darken up but ever since I put them in my tank they turned white. I've put them at the bottom of my tank and raised the lights but still white. Now I've put them in a shaded spot. Everything else seems to be growing great. Any suggestions? Thanks

Two things how do I take care of a diatom out break and What's this coral doing it went from looking normal to looking like this with this stuff coming out of it in 5 min.
