It's definitely possible to have a nice looking planted tank with that lighting but extra lighting can make a big difference in plant growth and overall health.

Like the title states and where you went. :D This was during a trip to my Uncles farm with other family. Don't remember the name of the area but it was about 2 hour drive from Medellin, Colombia. Mom's up front and I'm to her right.

It's possible to have low light plants grow in your tank. Hard, but not impossible. Do you have a pic of your tank so we can see what the plant looks like?

update. Had to trim it and take out some of the glosso because i was having a big staghorn algea outbreak. Its now starting to grow in and look good again so here is what the tank currently looks like. :lol:

I run a coralife strip on my 29, and i love it. Great quality. :D

Couple more questions... Is the water cloudy or just debri floating around the water column? If its cloudy, is it cloudy all the time or have you noticed a cycle where its clear then gets cloudy.... then clear. How often to you rinse off the filter pad in your filter, and are you using...

wow, I didn't know Jebo's had been around long enough to be able to assume they can last as long as most Ehiem's have. Guess I'll have to ask around a little more to get a grasp on the pristine reputation they have built from years of use to be able to compare them to Ehiem canisters...

Have a friend that runs 2 xp3's on a 125 and a xp2 on another tank. He swears by them. :) They pretty quiet too. Just a slight hum.

Could be because all the water is being completely filtered around 20 times and hour. I est. a flow of 664 gph (on paper) with all the mechanical filtration combined. 8O :lol: But with the buldup and flow restriction of the media attached/in the filter I'm guessing around 500 gph. Its true...

Only $500. :mrgreen: I'd probably go with a ADA style frameless 20 long tank. Some type of suspended lighting, open top with a pressurized co2 system with all the bells and whistles, and a Ehiem 2213. :twisted: But I think I'd be a bit over the $500 budget. :lol:

WHat i find most interesting is watching their actual behavior. They are very entertaining to watch compared to other 'brainless' fish. :lol:
