    Glass catfish

Well, I just found the neon tetra with the big belly floating at the surface with a huge rip in her belly. I guess it was the disease, not eggs.

    Glass catfish

One of the catfish was I'll when we got it, and it didn't last the night. However, I could not find the body for a while. Unfortunately, one of the cherry barbs consumed part of the body before we found it, and he developed neon tetra disease. He didn't last a full day of the illness. Is there...

Well, I made up my mind. About 98% of the people I've talked to, most of them actually owning glass catfish and are experts, say that they would be great in my tank. I am now about 5 minutes away from letting 5 of them out of their bag.

Not sure what kind of Pleco, just know that it's not a common Pleco. I would have some frozen food for them, because the fish in my 55 gallon tank eat meat. The tank has a lid that goes all the way around the surface, so they wouldn't jump out. Are you sure they wouldn't be fine in a school of 5?

    Glass catfish

Well, after all these months, here's my new stock: 6 neon tetras 5 cherry barbs 3 guppies 1 Pleco The fish are looking great, no deaths for months. Would it be overstocking to add the catfish now?

    Glass catfish

Well, the last cherry recently died, so I guess I'll have to test it some more.

    Glass catfish

I tested my water, and everything was about 5 points too high, so I bought some things to lower them, and there hasn't been a death since. It's been more than a week since I added the lowering stuff, so I plan on getting more fish very soon.

I started cycling on dec. 9, and I got the fish on dec. 18. I didn't get a testing kit. Also, 1 of the cherries is now missing.

    Glass catfish

Well, I guess none of that matters now. I woke up yesterday morning to see one of the white clouds suck on to the filter, dead, and then by the time I went to bed, the other one was dead. Then, to start off my Christmas Eve, I found the Pleco lying upside down, unmoving on the gravel. I hope...

I don't remember what type of pleco, they just said it was the smallest pleco in stock, and it's barely an inch long. I was planning on getting 5 glass catfish from the start.

4 neon tetras (getting more) 3 cherry barbs 2 white clouds (getting more) 1 Pleco

    Glass catfish

I was just at the fish store getting fish for my new 20 gallon, when I saw these glass catfish. I instantly fell in love with them, but I knew nothing about them,so I didn't get them. I know that most catfish grow very big, so would it be safe to add some to my 20 gallon? If so, I might want to...

    Are you addicted to fish?

I've been wishing I could get a fish room for such a long time, but I don't have enough money for all of those aquariums. So far, this is what I have.

    Blue acara?

well, I just bought some green tigers and red glass rosies. (I removed the ebjd for a short while, but now he's getting along with them just fine.)
  15. Waffle toaster

Can rosies breed with red glass barbs?

I just bought some barbs yesterday, and this morning a female rosy and a male red glass started rubbing against each other and kissing each other. Is this a breeding thing, and can rosies and red glasses breed with each other? I want to know if I'll have eggs in my tank!

    Blue acara?

I'm planning on adding more barbs, and I heard that ebjds handle new fish better if before adding the new fish you rearrange the decorations and pretend that it's a new tank. I've had him since mid-July, which I guess isn't too long.
  17. Waffle toaster

    Blue acara?

I've had the ebjd for a while, and he's getting along just fine with the barbs. He's a very active one, and he's just as active as the barbs.

    Blue acara?

I have a 55 gallon aquarium with these fish: 3 tiger barbs 1 rosy barb 2 boesemani rainbowfish 1 electric blue jack dempsey cichlid 1 common Pleco My question is would it be safe to add a blue acara cichlid?
  19. Waffle toaster

    white electric blue jack dempsey?

Sorry the tank's so cloudy. For some reason it got cloudy right as I put the water in, I think the gravel had something weird in it, and the gravel was very sandy.

    white electric blue jack dempsey?

Yours looks gorgeous! Anyway, he colored up a little bit over night, and here's some pics of him this morning. I think he colored up a little because it was so dark at night.

    white electric blue jack dempsey?

It doesn't look almost black, though.

    white electric blue jack dempsey?

I have some dark purple gravel In the garage. Would that work?
  23. Waffle toaster

    white electric blue jack dempsey?

The substrate is sort of like a pale tan color.

    white electric blue jack dempsey?

i just bought an electric blue jack dempsey cichlid, and it was a very beautiful electric blue color, like it's supposed to be. i loved watching it, but after a while, i noticed that it's color was a little lighter than before. i went to do some other thing, and when i check on him a few hours...
