    Overflow box questions

Yes you do need the pump with the CPR overflow. It's the only way to keep the siphon. unless there is another way to keep the siphon that somebody knows about.

    Overflow box questions

I use the CPR overflow with a siphon pump on my 120 gal. Had the power go out twice and the sump caught the over flow of water from having no power and when it came back on it worked itself out and put the water back into the tank

New to saltwater, lots of ?'s

I am no expert but from my experience I'll give you what I know. I'm sure others will chime in and fill in the gaps that I have missed. For water invest in a Rodi unit they are easy to install and will pay for themselves. Don't use tap water. Buying water will get costly as time goes on. Protein...

Looking for opinions on the best way to configure this sump. It's going under a 125 gal tank. Also what type of media would you put in the canisters. The two long filter socks is a divided compartment.

    Lighting opinion

Got a better understanding on lights. As far as live rock would you go all live or mix live and dry. If you would mix what would the ratio be?

    New tank build

So I just got a (used) 125 gallon tank with a Berliner wd 125 sump. Looking for recommendations on a protein skimmer to go in it. Unsure if I am going reef or fowlr. Going to be a couple weeks before it is set up cause it needs a good cleaning. Also is there a decent place to order live rock from.
