This is a pic of my platy, I've had him for a few months. And one day his tail was shredded and his body seems kind of "crooked" his tail has since healed, but he still seems crooked and kind of sunken in. I'm kind of thinking he got stuck in one of the new decorations I added and freaked out...

Went to my LFS to pick up a bunch of hornwort to hopefully help my platy fry survive, and found that little guy in the bunch. It looks red/pink in the aquarium but the pic made it look more green/brown. I would love to learn about it and try and keep it surviving! Thanks for any help u can provide.

I took mine to petsmart with the recall notice and they gave me a giftcard for the full amount of a similar product :-)

Amazon, they're just waterproof flexible LED strip lights, just did some DIY to make them into aquarium lights lol. They were cheap as hell

Got some led strip lights (16.4 feet, 300 LEDs) that are waterproof and remote controlled and did away with the tube lights. It has 20 colors, can switch between colors or fade, and can be dimmed at night! Love em. Have a YouTube video showing the fade settings, but here are some pix of a few...

I had an ich scare a while back so I salted and upped my heater to around 85. I have 3 black skirt tetras, a red serpae, 2 Platys, and a Chinese algae eater. The ich thing was just a scare, so there's no need for the heat to be up still but they have been active, and any nipped fins heal in like...

Just got these black skirt tetras, their bag is floating in the tank now and I see all 3 of them have the same white spot on their back top fin.... They all have it so I don't know if its ich or just like a characteristic of them lol. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated bc I don't have a QT...

Since that ones an internal, you could always get a small hang on back with bio wheel and run both. I like running two filters personally, and there's no such thing as over filtering! I have two emperor 280's on my 28 gal bow front lol. A Combined 560 GPH on a 28 gal.... My water is sparkling...
