I would never think you are trying to knock my dream or anything like that! I welcome all the info and advice anyone has especially the not sugar coated variety haha. So currently i work as a department manager for a very large retail store. I deal a lot with stocking, merchandising...

    Potentially opening a LFS

Hey guys, so I've been working on a plan for quite some time to open up my own LFS. I've been focusing mostly on the business end of it right now and have been struggling to think of the perfect name, so i figured what better pave to ask for help than this wonderful forum that I've used for so...

    BlueAquarium06's Shrimp Tank Build!

Im so terrible at making up my mind lol, now I'm starting to lean more towards black colors, is there any good source to get some quality ones with black coloration? And I've been reading about bacter ae, is it really a necessity. If so ill take your word and use it. I'm just not positive i...

    BlueAquarium06's Shrimp Tank Build!

I have the test kits lol, this isn't my first rodeo when it comes to cycling. I'm getting zeroes for for ammonia and nitrite, ~10 nitrate. So I'm confident in that. My ph is ~7.4ph. Now the stuff i have no experience with is gh/kh, i have the tests but have never really used them. Gh/kh is 7/4...

    BlueAquarium06's Shrimp Tank Build!

So I'm pretty sure my cycle is done, but I'm considering holding off even longer than originally plannedto get the shrimp. I've been reading several sources that say they do best in a more established tank, not necessarily one that just finished it's cycle. I'm just not sure how to know when...

    BlueAquarium06's Shrimp Tank Build!

I absolutely love the shrimp, those guys are beautiful. I'm really digging the blue and I'm starting to lean that way now. Even if they'll just look black. I'm leaning more towards the blue velvet, I'm not sure why I'm just really drawn to them

    BlueAquarium06's Shrimp Tank Build!

Okay so i set the heater to 70° just so it doesn't drop to much at night. One thing I'm sort of questioning is my lighting. I'm currently using a fluval sky that I was using as supplemental lighting on my nano reef. I'm just not sure if it's enough light. Does anyone have any suggestions on...

    BlueAquarium06's Shrimp Tank Build!

My apartment usually stays around 73-74 in the bedroom during the day, but can drop to around 64-65 at night, should I leave the heater in and just drop it to say 72° to avoid temp fluctuations?

How do i post a picture?

The last photo i tried to upload it says "Exceeds your quota by 130.4kb. Click here to see your attachments" When i click that message it just goes away, nothing happens

How do i post a picture?

It doesn't say that 88kb is to large, it says that it's ~88kb (or some other number) larger than the maximum size. I would take a screenshot and post what it says, but it won't even let me do that

How do i post a picture?

I'm using android, I don't think i used to have any issues, but it's been awhile since I've been on so I dont really remember. If i try to post a picture even one i just took using the app it says it's roughly 88kb to large, if i resize it to as small as i possibly can it says it's about 4kb...

    BlueAquarium06's Shrimp Tank Build!

So my newest adventure is about to kick off, my tank is just finishing up its cycle. I'm going to be finding up the aquascape and plants this week and hope to be adding my stock either next week or the following (parameters permitting). The last thing to decide is what I'm going to put in...

How do i post a picture?

It's been awhile since I've used the app, and every single time i go to post a picture it says it's too large. Even when i resize it to almost an unrecognizable blur it still says it's just marginally too large.

    Rams in a 29 gallon

"Focusing" might not be the best word, i plan to have it very heavily planted, primarily with java moss. If i lose several or even most shrimplets that's alright i just want the population to gradually increase

    Rams in a 29 gallon

I would not be intentionally breeding them, i was actually going to try and focus on rcs, but i was just curious if i bought a breeding pair what the chances of any babies surviving with 0 intervention from myself

    Rams in a 29 gallon

If i were to start a heavily planted medium light tank with nothing but a pair of rams and red cherry shrimp, with mostly anubias, java fern, and java moss possibly moneywort. What are the chances that if the rams happen to breed ANY of the fry would survive to adulthood?

What is this growing on my rock

I actually have a urchin in there haha his name is Steve, but he's been distracted by the hair algae issue I've been having. But I'm hoping that's just about fixed by now

What is this growing on my rock

That guide was very useful, thank you. It is absolutely no doubt Dictyota. It's cooking out those mushrooms and zoas pretty bad. I tried to manually remove it earlier today so hopefully that helps

What is this growing on my rock

Not the hair algae, I've been battling that for awhile now and I'm just starting to get it under control. But this stuff is growing on the rocks of 2 corals I got from the same store some zoas and a mushroom I have no idea what it is
