I want to use a canister on my 20 long and I was hoping for opinions. I have a sunsun on my 30 and the price was right, but the flow would be way too high. Thanks for your input! Oh, and I want to run a spray bar.

Well, the 20 long is going really well. Plants are weeds, it is completely cycled, and the shrimp are in! I added 6 RCS, 4 tigers, 1 amano, 2 ghost shrimp, and 2 celestial danios (6 more on the way from a local breeder). This is a very fun project.

The tank is really coming along, thanks to your advice. The algae is just about cleared up and the tank is almost cycled (nitrite is down to .25 and added ammonia is gone in less than 24 hours). The HC is taking and spreading - it must be happy as it is pearling nicely. Repens is taking off...

I just set up a 20 long planted shrimp tank and it is cycling (fishless). My ammonia is 0, nitrites are high (3+), nitrates are 40 this morning (20 yeaterday) and phosphate is 2. I have co2 and high light 10 hours a day. I am getting some long stringy algae (a few 6" threads even). Any suggestions?

I just got a co2 tank and regulator from GLA. The solenoid gets pretty darn hot. Is this normal?

I have a 29g planted tank and my plants are developing browning leaves. I also see some transparency in some of the plants, but the browning is getting worse. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm still learning the ropes, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
