Does medical salt have any benefits it a brackish or salt water tank? Brackish is at .014sg

Anyone know this guy. I was told they are not normally brackish but thats how I got him (partly group deal partly GF liked him...) Please let me know. Thanks

If a tank is cycled with fresh water and I do a 35% water change with salt water to create brackish water will the sudden increas in salinity effect of kill the BB? I know a great deal about the biofilter just not every way you could possibly kill it. Lol
