You did a 98% water change? Kind of extreme don't you think?
.25 ammonia is a footprint of a problem, no matter what you need to get this resolved. It is probably a key to what happened.
That quoted price is only for the socket.. The ballast is not included (read the text of the item you add to the cart).
The socket is by far the cheapest piece to buy :)
Will probably stress her out a lot in the net for an extended amount of time. I would get the biggest bowl/container I had and clean it out nicely put tank water in, add the fish and some type of bubbles or something.
I go to:

and buy from others. It is so much cheaper and lots of good people there to buy from.
Please read my follow-up reply. it is 1ppm & 4ppm respectively. I quoted how Aquatest presents the number, I did not convert them to ppm...
Sorry for the confusion..
Had a reading of 10 for Nitrites and 40 for Nitrates last night.. I believe my bio-balls are turning into a breeding ground for them..
How dangerous are those levels? I know 0 should be optimal....
I believe I am going to convert my wet/dry with bio-balls into a refugium, I just need to figure...
I have a 600gph sump pump & 3 Maxi 160gph heads on a wavemaker pro. This is in my 46g bowfront..
Curious if I should upgrade my Maxi's to the 240's...
I keep fish, LR, and corals..
What is your preferred gph?
Anyone else had their Kenya Tree slump over? It used to stand up nice and strong, but lately it appears to be bending at it's side and slumping down.
Is this a sign of problems? My last water test on Friday showed no issues across the board. I will check again this evening when I get home, but...
No my total is still over $175 after the product was counted out of the total, but they still want the additional 10%..
I'm fine with paying the shipping back, but the 20% charge on top of that is a little extreme imo...
Horrible fees. I got a CPR 90 overflow that I want to return, it is unopened and I just want to ship it back (I pay for shipping). However they want:
10% restocking fee ($8.90)
10% shipping reimburse since I ordered over $175 and they want it back ($8.90)
and $11 for me to ship it back...
I had a similar one like that break out in my nano. Started small and dust like then over a two week period it turned into a thick sludge that started to take over everything. Had to manually remove as much as possible to get it back under control.
Hopefully yours doesn't get to that...
Now that it has been exchanged for a Coralife Luna Aqualight it is all better. The Coralife is so much better, the quality the sound the light. Don't buy a Satellite...
CT, NY, MA areas preferred, possibly further out if you have a good deal..
Please PM me with what you have.
Would be interested in entire packages, or tank alone, or tank/stand, etc...
What is with that attitude in your response? I've had this tank running for 7 years now and was just considering a change of substrate. Maybe next time you will move on instead of posting up worthless dribble...
I took a ton of tank shots last night but couldn't get any of them under 250k (all were 2+ megs from my camera). I ended up taking a crack at it and redesigned it to the single mound volcano type method that I saw in many pictures here.
Looks better, but still just seems like something is missing.
Do you all go to your LFS? Or do you look for used one?
I currently have a 46g bowfront and 6g nano, and am thinking about getting a 75-120g reef ready tank.
Not sure where I would put it or if I am ready to get the wife ok, but I was curious where you get your tanks.
LFS quoted $725 for an...
