    Thoughts please??

Thanks very much. Great advice and thanks for getting an answer.... My searches were useless. I water change every four weeks and I have no intention of running the vaporiser too often so hopefully I will avoid a disastrous situation. Thanks again for your time. ?

Thanks very much Brookster123. Yes you're right.... Didn't think about Melafix. Let me know what you find out. Thank you.

    Thoughts please??

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm running a humidifier with eucalyptus oil in my daughters room which is right next to my 6 foot marine reef tank. Can the vapours bother my tank? Thanks

Gill Flukes. Im fighting a losing battle.

Thanks for your responses. I have read up about it now. Seems like a good idea but not sure I'll be game enough to do it. I guess if all your parameters (pH, temp, alkalinity....) are exactly the same as the display tank and just the salinity is what is different it couldn't do too much damage...

Gill Flukes. Im fighting a losing battle.

Hi reading this thread and your reply.... Just wondering why you do the freshwater dip? I've not heard this before. And do you only do it with gill flukes? Love learning something new everyday! :)

    What is this?

Just been looking at other threads..... It looks like maybe a Duncan Coral but it doesn't have all the branches yet. Can anyone help? Thanks

    What is this?

Thanks for the link but it's not there. I've had a look at lots of images on the net but can't seem to find this. Hoping someone out there has one or has seen one like this. Maybe I have to wait til it gets larger before it can be identified.

    What is this?

Hi all, Can someone please ID this for me? I've been watching it grow on my LR for a little while now. I think it's an anemone of some sort but don't really know. Also, is it a pest or should I keep it? Thanks

    Please ID....

Hi Carey Thanks..... I was talking about the cactus like plant. I think it is Halimeda incrassata. I'm not sure if it's right but I'll keep on looking and find out if it's worth keeping. Yeah slowly getting through the aiptasia. I've been injecting them with lemon juice. Works great. Thanks...

    Please ID....

Hi Can some please ID what looks like a plant? It's starting to grow on other rocks too. Not sure if I should be getting rid of it? Thanks.

    Mantis or Pistol???

Ok. Thanks very much. I haven't lost any yet and my peppermint shrimp haven't been bothered either. I won't then get into panic mode and start ripping out my live rock. Thanks. :)

    Mantis or Pistol???

Thanks for your reply. Yeah I am hearing clicking noises. They have little pincers with a little white on the tip. I saw one of them using it yesterday to break a bit of rock. It's so hard to see them cos all I actually see is them scurring through the tunnels they have made. If they are...

    Good Morning

Yes... I know... Silly me! They were the first fish I got when I initially set up the tank... Now I'm desperately trying to find a new home for them! Bullies they are!

    Mantis or Pistol???

Help me please..... I'm not sure what I have in my tank! There are three shrimp about 1 inch long putting holes all over my live rock. I can't see them clearly enough to ID other than they have stripy bodies and use a small pincer to break the rock. From what I've managed to see I think they are...

    Good Morning

Hi everyone I am a keen aquarium keeper and have had freshwater tanks for years. I've moved to my first marine tank and love it. It's six foot long and I'm housing some corals, clowns, hermits, peppermint shrimp, an urchin, snails and a blenny. Can't wait til it's fully stocked. Happy to join...
