    I just recently got a piece of Malaysian, to my surprise no tannins have been released at all! It just depends on your own preference, either way the tannins will clear up in a day or two.

    Having just 2 female betta fish isn't a good idea, you need odd numbers otherwise there will be one dominant & the other will get picked on. I'd just go for a male.

    Right, makes sense. I'm way too attached to the Killies. I can't seem to find any neon rasboras or chilli's online but I'll keep looking. If I can't find them Ember Tetras should be fine shouldn't they? I read they inhabit the low section of the water column.
