My oscar is too cool to school
I bought a oscar from the local pet store and there was a fish in there w him . Well I asked what it was , she didn't know of course.. So the manager said it was food for the oscar ( clearly it wasn't) so she gave it to me for free . And now if like to know what it is .. Thanks!

I'm fishless cycling, my ammonia is 3.5-4 , nitrites are .25, nitrates are 5.0, ph is 7.6, high ph is 8. I haven't added any ammonia in about 4 to 5 days. It doesn't seem to be going down. I'm cycling a 140g. Is this normal ? I'm on about day 8.

Most of the time warmer temps around 82 trigger breeding. But , sometimes it doesn't matter.. If you see them setting up in a cave or log that's a good clue..
Sorry to hear. You Probably had a ammonia spike. 20% water change with two grown parrots in a 30 gal wasn't enough to get rid of the bio load they were putting off
