    How To Vacuum Sand?

Can you reduce the suction if the small hose by kinking it slightly? I usually try to get more suction by avoiding kinks with a big hose, but it should work the other way around.

    Salt dip

Do a new one each time. The main reason is that this will keep exactly the same chemistry and temperature in the bath as the fish is used to in the tank.

    Salt dip

Feel free to do much less! You are trying to stress the parasite to death without harming your fish so a very conservative approach is a good idea, certainly for a first treatment! Also use old tank water so the fish doesn't have to endure much temperature change.

Dalmation Molly Swimming Sideways and Upside Down?

Sorry about that! Do test your water as it is very possible that nitrates are building up to unhealthier levels. Fish can slowly acclimate to higher levels of nitrates that new fish can't tolerate.

What on earth is my urchin doing?! Releasing white stuff

I'm not sure how long it will last or what factors might influence that. I'd be interested if you can let us know when it stops!

What on earth is my urchin doing?! Releasing white stuff

That's sperm and you might see eggs too. I don't have personal experience but I've heard it will rot and overload your biofilter without major water changes. Can you move the urchin to an isolation tank until it quits trying to reproduce?

Lighting help for a planted tank

Could you link to some of the fixtures or LEDs you're looking at? That'd help me give useful advice! I'm not trying to be obtuse, but you can't usefully specify aquarium lighting in watts of electrical power any more -- this hasn't been possible since incandescent bulbs were replaced by...

Lighting help for a planted tank

Unfortunately it doesn't make sense to talk about watts of light because different LEDs have different efficiency and they can be driven at different levels largely depending on heat management. You can look up PAR levels for common fixtures or estimate it based on lumens which are easier to...
