I bought this duo. I used it for a time and did in fact lose a couple of soft corals..clove polyps and leather coral. I finally read somewhere not to dose for anything that you are not testing for. So I stopped using it and am just keeping everything healthy with regular weekly water changes...

Did you figure out the problem? One day all my corals were acting weird. Checked the temp and it was 68 degrees! Looked under the stand and the heater plug was not plugged in all the way. They all survived the incident.

I hope I explained that well. Also,Some corals grow fast and cover other corals and kill them that way too.

Yes it does resemble a valley. :-). I love my rocks...just sometimes get stumped as to what to get for what location. Any suggestions for the bare spot between my red mushrooms and rhodactis mushroom? The shrooms don't do well there...(they always shrivel) the flow is too strong for them in...
