Hey Bear! Saw you ordered the Salifterts. Might want to invest in a PH probe/tester. Can pick them up on eBay for cheap. Much eaiser than figuring out colors on the test card... Remember to get the calibration solution if you do that.

Glad you got it figured out. Not sure what test kits you are using but if you want the very best, go with Salifert test kits. Most LFS don't stock them (they stock the Aquarium Pharm. garbage kits) so you will probably need to order them online. They are all I use.

You could run a closed loop system and then "T-out" the connections from the pump. That way you would have several returns all from the same pump. Although you will need more than one pump for a tank that size. You could use your one pump and then put in some powerheads. I'd use powerheads...

Like Dr. Nate said, you don't want the kalk actually getting into the tank. You could put the pump on a small stand inside the resevoir so that the pump is above the settled out mixture. This would ensure that only the liquid gets dosed.
