Yeah I know lol but they're still great for a community tank. I don't think ill ever FULLY be out of cichlids. Just African cichlids for now.
I have one wisteria plant and its thriving. And a super tiny Amazon sword. They're doing very well. I have a lot of plastic at the moment haha.

Aww thank you! It was a good experience with the cichlids. To be honest I really did miss having a community tank. Angels, Tetras, loaches, rainbows, etc... I really missed the angels.

Not in a 75 gallon. Synos usually stay at the bottom so having 4 with your stock list should be fine. None of those cichlids get over 7" so you're good.

I think it all depends on the diet and stress level of the fish. Im sure it'll get bigger at about 4 months. Anticipation sucks, I've been trying to grow out my kuhli loaches for a month now with barely any results.

Guppies breed so fast lol. I remember when I started my 10 gallon I had 8 guppies. 3 months later I had 30...lol Glad you took the advice. Sand is a pain but it is so beautiful its worth the effort of making it clean.

Well i have a lfs I can sell them to for a store credit. I can't afford to add anything to the tank including a divider. Im out of work right now due to a medical condition and im on limited funds. Im really leaning towards getting rid of them. I don't want to stress them out more and I don't...
I would drain the water. Even if it settles when you go to clean it yes it will stir up that dust again. I would honestly drain the water and scoop the sand into a bucket.

I rinsed mine in small sections for a 60lb bag. Each rinse was over 45 minutes of rinsing. Even if you rinsed for an hour it is still not rinsed. When you do rinse and the water is running out of the bucket clear after sifting through it then its ready. Just running it for an hour won't really...

Im moving in 8 days and im seriously considering getting out of cichlids right now. Not forever but at the moment I have an overstocked 10 gallon and my 60 cichlid tank. The reason im considering this is because the aggression level is rising in the cichlid tank. I can't get any more at the...
Oh..bummer. well I'm just happy he can still swim. Ill pick some up as soon as I can. Hopefully it will grow back but if it doesn't I just want him to heal.

Here's how he looks, as you can see there's no physical damage to the fish and he is swimming freely. Ugh I feel so bad for him. I have fittingly named him Nemo.

Ok I just recently got a male sunshine benga and when I put him in the tank all of his fins were in tact. I don't know who did it but someone bit off (and I mean this literally) his left fin! I can't even see where the base of the fin is. It is completely gone! He is swimming fine and nobody is...
Idk, the Dempsey, pleco, oscar and loaches get pretty big. I think you might be maxed out here with size.
