    African Butterfly Cichlid

Will do. Picked up 6 juveniles. Spent a month researching them but wanted some opinions of coarse as reading and studying about them isn't actual practice. I got rid of my rift lake tank to get them. Really just didn't find the rift lake cichlids terribly interesting.

    African Butterfly Cichlid

Any personal experiences with these? I have been reading a ton about them and was thinking of getting some to put in with my Kribensis breeding pair. I read also that they are difficult to sex so any help or insight into sexing would be awesome.

I moved them to a species only 20gal. They will be happy and taken care of in there. Thank all of you so much for the info. It was vastly different than what I was told. I will stick to my GBR's from now on for my community.

22 gallon tank , stocking problem?

The pleco sent that over the edge for sure. They come with a huge bioload as stated above. The dwarf species are much better suited to the smaller tanks.

    Hello Everyone.

Hello All. Kind of new to the hobby especially the larger tanks. I have been keeping small tanks under 5g since I was 10 but I recently got my 2 largest tanks being a 30g and a 36g. I like keeping communities and am currently in the process of converting my 10g into a nano tank. Just thought I...

    Temp fluctuations

What name brand? I would think temp swings would not be that great for fry. A degree of fluctuation isn't that bad but 4 to 5 degrees is a large swing.

    Loaches for community tanks?

Botia type loaches are the snail eaters you are looking for. I keep them with ghost shrimp and they don't seem to bother them.

    What should I get

Bolivians or Rams will work either way. It will strictly depend on how flashy and colorful you want them to be.

    Small but efficient plecos

Queen Pleco (L-260) are fantastic small pleco if you can find them and are willing to shell out the cash for them.
