    Parasite ridden platies?

Do these platies look parasite ridden? I have attached pictures of multiple platies. There is planara in my tank, are they killing my platies?

Fish Breathing Heavily And Red Line (Like A Visible Blood Vessel?) Help?

I don't have much of an idea about the deaths of the fish other than: is there enough surface tension break? And also does she use any plant food in the tank? I experienced a bunch of deaths when I started using plant food for mine I believed because the heavy metals were too much for my fish...

What is your platy tank like?

I have plants but I've just now dived into the science of keeping them, so I have no idea about o2. I have a bubbler in the tank that we bought to break the surface tension and get more air in there. Our lights are typically on for about 12 hours on 12 hours off, sometimes a little more...

    Stripping

They have actually been little pigs! I bought frozen baby brine shrimp, and they ate it like crazy. They've also eaten pellets and peas. :) they're doing pretty great. :)

What is your platy tank like?

I don't have an all platy tank, I have them in with guppies, a gourami, and some bottom feeders. No matter how clean my water is, no matter my how good my parameters I can't keep my platies happy. They are always clamping. I have them in 7.2 ph and the highest their nitrate is ever at is 10...

Cichlid holding. No sure what to do.

Is it normal for her to be breathing heavy and like just generally freaking out after she is stripped? This is the first time I have done this so I'm just making sure now she's gonna be okay.

Cichlid holding. No sure what to do.

I did strip her, which is why I just started a different thread to get answers on why she's freaking out.

    Stripping

I have stripped my cichlid of her fry now and they all look alright. They're not eating the flakes or pellets that we put in the container, so do I have to buy baby brine shrimp? they are pretty much free swimming. My female on the other hand is breathing extremely heavy. Is this normal? She...

I don't think so, it didn't look like it and I feel like I would notice. She looks normal.

Cichlid holding. No sure what to do.

Hey everyone I just wanted to give an update an ask a question as I'm concerned. She's been holding now for about 15 days that we know of, and all of a sudden today she came out of hiding and put her stomach in the air bubbles. I'm worried because she looks like she has lost a lot of color, and...

Guppy looks like he is going to pop.

I know it's a blury picture, but I just wanted to ask a question. If you see the little dot on the back of him, it looks like he is trying to go to the poop but the problem is, it's not the color of any food I feed. It looks like he's passing an intestine or something. As I write this I about to...

    Three dead... And counting?

Water wise it's the only thing I've changed so my idea was that maybe I'm feeding them too much and the nutrients are too much in the water.

    Three dead... And counting?

This is the latest dead one. It has a red dot on the side that I thought may help. Could it be an internal parasite attacking fish?

    Three dead... And counting?

Over the past two weeks I have lost three guppies. Two of the three that died had no signs of anything wrong. I don't know what what is going on. Changes in the last two months: started using plant food. I do 5ml every other day. I added a paradise gourami a week ago along with one of the...

Guppy looks like he is going to pop.

I have lost two other fish to dropsy but it was always sudden and one day they looked like a pine come, but otherwise wouldn't eat and then would hang at the top and stay by themselves. He seems to be just as active and still eating. If it is dropsy I don't know what I'm doing wrong with my fish...

Guppy looks like he is going to pop.

Okay thank you. Do you know how long dropsy usually takes to affect fish? Because he's been like this for almost two weeks. :/

Cichlid holding. No sure what to do.

Oh okay. I read somewhere else that she's just leave them if they got out somehow. And I was hoping that wouldn't be the case. We are probably going to just buy a divider and put her on one side of the tank with the lava rock cause that's seems to be her home right now. Thank you everyone :)

Okay and what happens if I separate her and she spits them out?

Guppy looks like he is going to pop.

1~What type of fish is afflicted? In addition, please describe what is wrong with the fish to the best of your ability (i.e. cotton like growth, bloated, etc.). I have a male guppy that, I had thought was a pregnant female for like two weeks now, I just didn't think to look at the sex I figured...
