    Peacock eel acting foxy?

I think my peacock eel is behind the small amount of fry I see in my community tank. I realise that her stomach usually looks super fat the morning after the fry drop. Before I see the fries to transfer them. I have floating plants and lots of hiding but anyone who knows these eels will know...

How long is the birthing process for a guppy

My guppi had 7 fries the first time and a few days ago had 54:)) even caught it on video. Don't worry guppies are always pregnant mine had babies thirty days after the first drop. Well fed fishes have more fry than underfed ones. New and excited hobbyist

Molly not showing interest in breeding with other types of mollies

My black molly doesn't seem to be interested in mating with a yellow molly I have. Is this common? I mean he doesn't give the other black mollies chance to eat. He is forever in heat. But said no to Mrs yellow even tho she shows him lots a attention. New and excited hobbyist

I think my molly is ready to deliver.

She has been the new tank a few days now and was acting rather comfy. All of a sudden she becomes homesick : ( ( My last Molly gave birth to Fry which were eaten by my other fishes (I have guppies mollies platys and peacock eel) all of which seem to fancy a fresh snack every now and then New...

    Is my Molly ready??

My Molly stopped eating as much as she would (she was greedy) and not swimming around actively. I recently moved her to a tank by herself and water parameters are good. She literally stays still staring in the glass. What do you guys think? Is she ready because she doesn't look boxy(squared off)...

How pregnant are my new guppies?

That one has like 1-2weeks to go. To induce deliver up the temp by 1 degree slowly. Rapid temp changes maybe detrimental New and excited hobbyist

    How much longer

Mollies may take one month to deliver but if the temperature is low or if the mother feels uncomfy or unsafe(usually if its crowded or has fluctuations in pH and nitrates) she may last like 5-6 weeks. Or may spontaneously abort her babies. Sent from my TM-5377 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

Zebra Danios swimming at surface when lights are off

Its a naturally evolved reaction. In the wild when its bright and sunny they are more visible hence more prone to predators therefore they stay hidden or below unless they feel really comfortable. When the light is off they feel safer and roam about more(not nocturnal). My danios used to go...

    Terrible Luck With Breeding Guppies

Maybe the guppies are a little stressed. If they are stressed out they may abort the fry. Like with very low temperature of fluctuations in pH. They usually abort the fry just before they are about to give birt h. Try to do a 30% water change every week, this stimulates them to breed (you may...
