Good point... I believe a 30 minimum is recommended for the Rainbows.

Comet goldfish are very social. I had saved a comet from a 10 gallon with a Gourami that tore it to Shreads. I put a school of Zebra Danio with him and he cheered up. danios are what they call a Dither Fish. Their active swimming helps shy fish realize there is no threat.

Currently the smaller of my two tanks is a 30 Gallon Breeder. I have Boesemani Rainbowfish, which are a Beautiful Blue and Orange... At least the males. Also have Zebra and Leopard Danios and White Cloud Mountain Minnows... It is a bit of a miss mash, due to the loss of a Goldfish and moving...

Sorry it did not work out with the 40 Gallon. I also was concerned with the Bioload. I currently have 3 Comet Goldfish in a 75 Gallon with 2 Golden Dojo Loach... That is it... Nothing else is going in there. I look forward to seeing what is in store for the 20 gallon.

Just an update on the tank: I replaced the Marineland Emeror 400 HOB Filter with a Second Fluval 406 Canister to boost the Filtration and Circulation in the tank for the Goldfish and Loach as the grow. Tomorrow, I should be getting 2 Current USA Truelumen Lunar LED's to add on to my Marineland...

Thank you Dallas!! I appreciate the encouragement from every one here. I feel bad for not posting in so long. I think after the Death of my Weather Loach due to my careless Vacuuming I was ashamed of myself. Then, loosing Savanah to Dropsey after adding Opal and Maverick to the 75 Gallon did...

LOL!! I am hoping the 75 will be enough for the 3 Musketeers. Along with the 2 Golden Dojo Loaches. I may have to take out the big Dragon in there as fast as the 3 Fly around the tank.

2 Shubunkin, 2 Golden Dojo Loach, Boesemani Rainbowfish & WCMM in a 75 gallon. I have been going crazy. The Nitrate has been 20-40. LOL! I thought that was way too high!

Straight out of the tap, was 0 Nitrate. I have a Marineland Emperor 400 (which I just took off and wiped and rinsed out. I am also running a Fluval 406 Canister. I have not wiped and rinsed that out yet. I am also getting a flexible brush to get into the Ribbed Tubes. The brush should be here...

This past week I did 3 40-50% changes and still had high levels.

Ok, I know that Ammonia is heavier than water so when cleaning aquarium before it has cycled, you vac water close to the bottom... My Question: :confused: After tank is cycled... If you have high NitrAtes... Are NitrAtes at the bottom or are they in a different level of the water column :?:
