Is it worth it to use a DIY solution for a tank of this size? Would java fern benefit from CO2? I only have an amazon sword and some java fern at the moment.

I cracked one of the tabs on the motor trying to put it back into the filter box. I don't know how it could've cracked with so little effort. I'm afraid they will deny any warranty claims.

The lights are for my 125 or 135 gallon CA/SA cichlid aquarium so no plants.

I can't decide between the Marineland Single Bright and the Coralife/Aqueon dual T5 NO. Which one will give me better color and which one will give me more light?

On one of my goldfishes, the spots look exactly like this Again, it's only on the tail fins. They have never shown up on their bodies I had to use another picture as my camera will not pick it up. Time for a new phone.

I've dosed the tank for about 5 weeks now (1 dose a week). There has never been ich on the bodies of the fish. In the beginning, there was one spot on the fin that I could confidently call ich.

Eheim also recommended two 150w heaters for my 125 gallon. I should get the two heaters instead of one 250w right?

All the fish seem to be very healthy and new spots have not appeared.

I've dosed the tank 5-6 times now and there are still white spots on the fins. They seem to be imbedded into the tails rather than sticking out. Temperatures have stayed in the mid 60's and above (Fahrenheit). I've used the correct dose each time and changed 50% of the water before each dose as...

There is only a 200w or 300w in the E series, nothing in between. Those are rated for aquariums up to 65 gallons and 100 gallons.

When I emailed Eheim about the right size heater for my 125 gallon, they recommended the 250w, which is good for 106-159 gallons. The right size of heater will vary from each manufacturer.

Would they survive an Oscar or something of that size without a heater guard? The glass is shatterproof so I hope it holds up to collisions. Has anyone had an Eheim shatter from a fish running into it? Let me know.

Just to make sure that I am not making a regretful purchase, I would like to know if Aqueon aquariums are good in terms of quality. I will be purchasing a 125 gallon. Slightly off topic, is there a brand that's better than Marineland and Aqueon for aquariums?

I heard these plants can contain invasive snails. Is there a way that they can be eliminated. The last thing I would want is an infestation.
