I got a Mexican Orange Crayfish. I've noticed a few dead shrimp since I got him. Does anybody have any experience with them? Will they eat my cherry shrimp? Any help will be welcomed. I'm thinking about moving him.

Your shrimp might not get bothered, but your shrimp babies might. I just removed a neon that was keeping the population down.

Well, seen this fella on my glass before bed.

Well it looks like the one female isn't going to have babies. I just watched her for about 30 mins tonight, and in that time she dropped 3 eggs. As far as I know, they we're suppose to hatch in her, and then come out fighting. I guess the other shrimp get a snack tonight. :((

Also...I seen 1 baby tonight. Pretty small. I'm hoping there are more, and that because the neon is out, maybe they will stick around.

Your tank is really nice! I wish mine had no green algae on the sides!

Just leave them be. The first time mine had them it was a total surprise. Seem a little shrimp the size of a pin head on a rock! If you got the males, and you got the females, your tank will be the tank of love in no time! Once you see one berried, then you'll be really excited., good luck!

I second the java fern. I love that plant.

Pretty cool! I'm trying to get my shrimpies to get their groove on. They were getting up there but I think a neon got the shrimp babies.

What's in your tank as far as live stock?

With all the other snails, she wouldn't even see them.

So anything else going in here other than cherry shrimp? I want to pick up one of these tanks, but I already have cherry shrimp. Do you like the tank? Any other stocking ideas?

Cool stuff! I only dose co2 in one tank. I tried a DIY but it kept leaking and then I got one of those fluval co2 kits. I kept on forgetting to turn it on, and if I turned it on I'd forget it on. Too expensive. What is the bush between the rock and the Anubis?

Today I decided to attack my 6 gallon tank! It all started with pulling out some java fern, realizing I had about 12 baby plants, that escalated to moving some rather tall fore found plants, trimming of some dwarf hair, and the moving of a crypt. Here is the before and after picks. I worked...

Tank 1: replanted and moved all of my plants, did a 25 percent water change, added 3 cherry shrimp and 1 Mexican dwarf crayfish. Tank 2: 20 percent water change, trimmed some plants, added liquid ferts, and added flourish excel. A very productive day!
