sorry i dont have an answer to your question but i am just curious as to why you wanna do 24hrs?

you should cut the outlet tube that goes into the bubble diffuser so that is only about half way into the diffuser, this should stop the water from leaking out the little tube. cut the tube from the pump to the skimmer as much as you can to get the pump as close to the surface as you can, this...

i second this. i have heard alot about how 6 lines are known to be carpet surfers... IMO its better to be safe than sorry, i recently put a egg crate to cover my tank, although i dont have a wrasse but if i ever get one, i will be ready... Good luck!!

the skimmer on the 65 is a Rio 1100 Needlewheel... I am sure if you google that you can find out some more info on it... IMO, i would go with the 125, i actually think the pump is smaller on that one, also the collection cup on the 125 and 220 models have a drain hole on them so you dont have...
