Thanks ? Yeah, that's the tricky part, always thinking, what if I move this to there? Which always leads to moving other things ? Next thing to change will be the filter, want to change to external, but that will have to wait for a while, other priorities in the house ? Climbing up the steep...

I'm unsure of some of the names, my LFS doesn't have them labeled :-( From memory there is Jungle Val Java fern Narrow leaf ludwigia Amazon Sword The crypts came in a pot, once I'd removed them from the pot I had several plants, hence the abundance of them, the others also came potted but didn't...

Hi Matt, I'm using TNC root plugs, Eheim 7 day slow release liquid and Flourish Excel. Thanks for the note about the Crypts, so difficult to make things look "Natural" they do look kind of straight in the photo, they are zig zag back to front, bit difficult to move them now as the rocks would...

Adding Bacteria in a new aquarium?

Find a good LFS I would never use fish to cycle a tank. I asked my LFS to let me know when he was changing his filter media, a couple of days later the phone rang and he had a small bag of media waiting for me, best thing ever, just placed some of it in my filter and washed out the rest in the...

Unknown white things on the glass

Clearing up :) I took high res photo's to my LFS and the guy there wasn't sure about them either, he said to wait a couple of days to see if they develop into something more recognisable. Anyway its 4 days after I first saw them and they are clearing up on their own, my fish seem to be eating...

Unknown white things on the glass

Don't think it's planaria, from the reading that I've done, planaria is usually pinkish in colour, these are deffinately white. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

Unknown white things on the glass

Had to look that one up, if they are hydra I assume that they are very young as they are only 1mm long at the moment and I cannot see any tentacles. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

Unknown white things on the glass

Hi, Noobie here. I have a lot of these white things all over the glass on our tropical freshwater setup, I have looked in various places online and cannot identify them, they look to be attached to the glass at one end, with the other moving with the flow of the water, from what I can see...
