My CBS also lost an arm, a small one a while back. After one molting it was just a little stub, but after two moltings its completly back to normal. It grew back to normal size and seems to be functioning fine. Good luck!!!

My coral banded shrimp lost a pincer and it was back at his next molting...he's good as new now! Just FYI.

I haven't done that with my frozen food but I did do it with my Phytoplankton....I ended up throwing it out. I guess you could use the smell test...if it doesn't smell to horrible, I guess it might be ok. Good luck.
