Bettas male and female will readily murder anything that swims mid and top water with them.

I am partial to Veiltails would have loved to get an Oscar veil :-) It's overall the most spectacular variety due to the change in volume to the fish.

Bettas are finicky and many are simply not good tank mates. I had a female which was hyper aggressive and would kill my other fish at night. Definitely try moving to the angels ive had 2 angle tanks and they usually arent agressive except when spawning. Fair warning: you may see the same issue...

Look for a independently owned LFS. Most chains wont take them, sometimes PETCO will. Craigs list is another option which can get you a quick response especially if free or cheap. Just make sure you meet them in a public place & be safe!

I have enjoyed all of the freshwater species tanks I've done, I assume you could do the same with salt but the whole prospect just seems like a hassle to me. Doing a small clownfish pair tank sounds fun though :)
