You should not have put them in a 12g tank. That is way to small for a pair of GBR's. You need at least a 20g tank, At Least. The bigger one could have bullied the other to death or it could just be death by stress. They're very sensitive fish, even if you do have perfect water parameters...

Yeah I definitely see it too, and by the way they're acting. Sometimes they'll be really calm and social with each other. Then in like a split second they get tired of their company and start to be territorial. They're not really aggressive towards each other, they just do that little stand off...

So I got two GBR's today and put them in my planted-sand 29 Gallon High tank. I am think a male and female??? I am wondering if you guys can help me out on what gender they are?
