as you can see from the picture, he has some sort of "discoloration" right above the stomach area, a big white patch that keeps getting bigger. he also has a tiny bit of fin rot. but what I need to know is what is that big white patch?? I treated him with Pimafix tonight. any suggestions?

I just bought a 9 watt uv sterilizer. the guy at the LFS said to only run it 4 hours a day or it will kill off all the beneficial bacteria. Is this true? I've never heard of anyone turning it off. Thought it was supposed to be on all the time. thanks.
