mystery plant from AF
These are my new tank pics after switching from low light,gravel/EC to high light/AS.Most of my old plants died because I had them in a bucket of water for a few days so my new plants are:Ludwigia repens,Blyxa japonica, nystery plant from AF,Peacock Moss,Weeping Moss,Cryptocoryne wendtii x hybrid(the only fast growing crypt I know),Rotala sp. "Green",Rotala sp. "Vietnam", and Eriocaulon sp. from AF.I have 8 Borara maculatus,6 Coral Red Pencilfish,3 Sparkling Gouramis,2 mystery tetras(originally 4 but 2 commited suicide),4 mystery algae eaters,2 Otos, and several cherry shrimp.

Hopefully the cloudiness will go away. Your repens looks really good, I'm a big fan of these plants both for colors and nice growth.

Just one suggestion...bring your crypt forward, it needs to be seen in it's full glory.

Hey azn_fishy55, where have you been? You did alot of work in there! The tank will look great once all the attached stuff takes off. The riccia wafer(think that's what it is) will look really cool as well. Nice work.

Cool plants. I like the driftwood pieces. Do you dislike how the back left piece looks when pointing towards the center of the tank? What is tied to that one?

Is this your only current tank Andrew?

Yes sadly this is my only tank left form my move to Sunnyvale T_T.The plant in the back left is Ludwigia repens and the one on the back right is Eriocaulonae sp.On that piece of driftwood is Peacock Moss(Taxiphyllum sp.),I just recieved from an order with AM(Aquatic Magic). The wafer thingy isn't riccia, its a square of HC I bought from Aqua Forest, since there were no roots, they told me to leave it in the tank for a few weeks then when they develop roots I can plant them.I had a moss bug awhile ago and order Weeping Moss,Mini Moss, and Peacock Moss from him and it came in great condition. The tank is clear right now, and I am hoping to get my CO2 canister in the next two weeks. So far I have been using Excel.I am hoping to get some Tonina species and some more Eriocaulon spcies which are my favorite plants so far.BTW Glenc,I have been taking tests and this and that and moving my tank to my new house and getting ready for High School...yay!

Alot mystery plant from AF *might* be Rotala macranda 'green',the Peacock Moss is looking bushier, the Blyxas put out alot more new leaves,I moved the Rotala sp."Vietnam" which need some trimming, the mini moss rocks are covered in a gray algae, the fissidens started putting out little buds, the Rotala sp."green" is more bushier,I cut 2 tops off the Eriocaulons and replanted them, and the HC square is dieing off and I have given up on HC and decided to use a glosso foreground instead.Still no pressurized CO2,just waiting to get the CO2 tank.Added 12 Amano Shrimp to deal with algae problem.Currently I am not dosing any ferts, but the plants look great,I only dose Flourish every once in awhile along with Excel.Hopefully I'll be getting some glosso and some other plants at the next SFBAAPS meet.

The plant you show in the picture called: "Mystery Tetra from OA" is commonly called Ammania sp. "Bonsai" but is most likely a Rotala variant. We're still working on the nomenclature. It is a hard one to keep in any case.

Oh,the myster tetra from OA caption goes with the picture above it not below it.I believe the pictuer your talking about is the emersed growth of some plant,if you can see in the first picture of my post today the new growth of the plant has narrow light green leaves which makes me to believe is Rotala macranda.

The first pic shows the old emersed growth and the second pic shows the new submersed growth.

ummm that's Rotala sp."Vietnam",its a REALLY fast grower and one of my favorite plants,I also will have to trim it soon, would you like to try some? It'll grow really well in your AS tank.I forgot to post one pic and that one was the Ludwigia guinea.here it is.So far I have barely been dosing this tank, just occasional excel and flourish if I remember. This is my dream tank, clear water,no dosing, and no constant water changes.
