Why do people on here get all defensive when they ask for opinions on their tanks and we suggest changing the stock or testing the water?
Like jwh said, looks ARE very deceiving. Plants actually do better when there are an abundance of nitrates in the water, that's what they feed on partly. Also ammonia.
Also like jwh said, you would need to pack the tank FULL of plants to keep the water as clean as it would need to be.
Please, buy a test kit before you do anything else. Your fishs' health should matter more than planting a tank.....
