I have 29g with a glass top and a 50cm LED light strip under it, there's room for another strip under this and I could do blue LEDs this time so I have a white one and blue one. I'm not sure what plants need to grow or how to do this so I'll take any feedback!! Thanks!

Depends on how much light is given off. I'm assuming you're not injecting co2 or any ferts?

Cryptocoryne grow in almost any lighting condition.
Anubias is the same way but don't plant them in the substrate.
Ferns tend to do well in low-tech setups attached to driftwood.

You're pretty limited on plant selection with strip LEDs. I made the plunge and got a Marineland planted one and the growth has tripled.

I have a 29 gallon tank for 8 years almost fully planted. I use 2 current leds and they can grow almost anything IMG_0393.jpgIMG_1157.jpg
