Hey all I am picking up a new (to me) 46 gallon bowfront tomorrow and I can decide what to put in it. I know I want some kind of cichlid as a focus point a pair or trio of something but I also want either some angles or some pearl gouramis I was this king kribs or rams? Any ideas?
Btw this will be a planted setup

Welcome to AA :) I actually own 2 46 bowfronts one a reef the other for my labs and OB peacock. I'll be the first to admit its on the very small side for Africans and most wouldn't reccomend it (hence my choice of very low aggression for Africans) but this would make a fantastic angel tank or even discus if your up for a lil more of a challenge. If you go the discus route you could house about 6-9 adults no problem and give it a beautiful planted scaping

I would recommend a favorite of mine, 2-3 blood parrots, will need to upgrade down the road!;)

I say do angels as your main fish with some tetras and apistogrammas.

Unfortunately since you want planted, Africans are out of the question.
