I currently have a 75 gal that has a fluval110 hob, Rena xp3, and an under gravel filter setup. The Rena is going out so I am looking to replace and was thinking of going with a fluval fx5 and possibly ditching the under gravel filter. Was just looking for some input both positive and negative in doing this. I have some tetras, mollies, patties and other community type fish in it at the moment.
Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

Welcome to AA!! It sounds like you have a good plan in place. I would run the new filter for a couple of weeks so its established with bacteria before removing the UGF. The UGF will be a pain in the behind to remove just so you are forewarned. Make sure you have a plan for doing this in place before starting. If you have any questions, just ask! :)
