I have two adfs in a 5 gallon aquarium. What is the best filter for these little ones?

Hi, welcome to the forum 
I can't directly comment as don't keep these but for small tanks and small fish my preference is for a self-priming filter (love those!) and some sponge around the filter intake (although I've always found healthy animals will have no trouble). And a flow rate adjuster.

Usually sponge filters, they don't have the kind of suction that can grab small parts or small creatures while still giving you good aeration and filtering
