Had driftwood in an old aquarium for years then tank sprung a leak and i got rid of it. Had taken wood out and stored it in a leaf bag outside which i thought at the time was going to be temporary. And at one time i went to look for it and could not find it, then it popped up with a bunch of leaves in it. Wife must have thought thats what it was for. Anyways a year later i find the wood two big pieces which i would like to use again in my new 55gal. i put the pieces in two separate 5 gal. pails and added a tad of Clorox hoping to kill any bacteria and bugs. after two days pulled wood out of pails to find bugs still moving around on the wood. Any ideas on how i should get this driftwood ready for my new aquarium?
Thanks

I wouldn't worry as much about the bugs as the Clorox. You'll need to rinse well, soak in buckets, and add plenty of dechlorinator.
