Algae help

Am getting light brown algae beginning to cover rocks and leaves. I run co2 and dose flourish excel. I only feed 1x/day. Lights are on for 3 hours, the off for 4 hours, then on for 4 hours. Please advise.

How long has the tank been running. Sounds like diatoms. If it is, it will go away in a own.

A couple months. Maybe 2 months with co2.

I agree with clayman, this sounds more like diatoms. That's a mighty break in the photoperiod I don't think it's brown algae unless your light has superpowers.

My lights are off right now and on a timer, I'll try to snap a pic tonight; but yes, I can wipe it off with my finger.
