How long does it take to get your tank cycled. I have a 39 gallon tank with a 20/40 Aqueon filter with a used sponge filter from a fish store. My pH is at 8.2 and my ammonia is at 1.0 and my nitrite is at 0 ppm. I took a bio bag,an ornament, and gravel out of the established tank. I just can't seem to get the ammonia down at all. I have a frog in the tank and I feed him a few pellets of food once a day and that is it. I have had the tank set up for a month.
