Amount of fish in 54l tank

Starter tank for my daughter - advice

Hi
I'm currently in the process of cycling my first aquarium to be ready for my daughters birthday in July. At the moment I've got 3 zebra danios in there whilst I do my 5 week cycle. My plan is if everything goes ok and when I get my water tested all is good to introduce 3 more zebra or leopard danios and then slowly introduce 2 or 3 fish a fortnight until I have

6 x zebra/leopard danios
6 x neon tetras
2 x male guppies
2 x ottos
And a few shrimp

Do the more experienced of you think that's a good plan, not too many fish, a good mix that will get along and I'd love any advice you've got for a complete novice. It's a 54l tank. 60x30x30.
