So heres what i have.. i have 2 angels/1 firemouth cichlid/3 rainbow rams and a silver tipped shark. they are in a 55 g planted aquarium.
water perimiters are good
nitrates .10
ph.7.0
temp 80.
for some one reason one of my angels started being in one spot of the tank. he will come out and eat slowly than go back and just sit behind a big decor... he was fine the first week, really active with the other angel now he just stays in one place most of the time... any ideas of what can be going on with him???

no nitrites or ammonia. the firemouth really never chased him... i was told that a single firemouth can get along in a community tank.,

With all those cichlids in there that'd be a lot of agression. I'd observe the tank for fifteen minutes or more and see what everyone's up to.

the only little aggresion i have is the rainbow rams sometimes chase each other a little. i will look into it closer. thank you

Do you know the gender of the Angels? Is the one that has been staying in one spot acting aggressive? I could be way off, but perhaps it's a female about to lay eggs?

i dont know the gender but they arent to big. they are about the size of a half dollar coin only

i looked closer into him and now he is at the top of tank like gasping,,, he had some white chunks hanging from his bottom and one of his fins looks a little rotted. very little. what medications should i put in. i have melaflex and salt. will that help

The melafix won't hurt but it sounds like it is probably an internal infection, either bacterial or parasitic. I have a new young angel exhibiting the same symptoms. I am moving him to a small tank and will treat with Jungle Parasite Clear, and Kanamyacin or Maracyn II. I am not sure what the problem is exactly so am treating for both.
