Angelfish with no tail

So I was doing my daily fish check yesterday and couldn't find one of my angels. I got four of them about a month ago when they were very tiny like pea size. Finally it came out of the amazon sword it was hiding in and my wife noticed he has no tail fin. He is much smaller than the other three that I got with him. I can't tell if it got nipped off or if it's a defect. No other fish have any marks whatsoever on them. Will the tail grow back if it got nipped off? Thanks

Do you have any other fish in the tank that would do that if not I would separate it in different hospital tank if you don't have another tank breeder nets and get some meds for it it should grow back in time meds would help and to prevent infections

I moved it over to my 20 gallon tank. The only other thing in there is my shrimp and he's too small to eat them. Besides he can't swim that fast at the moment either.
