Can some please let me know what I can buy to get rid of green algea growing in the sand and all of my rocks? I also have brownish algea growing on the tank....I've tried some chemicals but have not had any luck....should i change my lighting schedule or is there some fish that i can buy to eat the algea?? Any help would be nice, i miss the nice look of the pure white sand!!

Don't add anymore chemicals designed to get rid of algae. The algae is simply taking advantage of a nutrient rich environment. Try reducing feeding.
More details will help us help you.
Tank size
How old is the tank
Inhabitants
how much live rock
Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate levels
Calcium level
pH
Lighting
What does the algae look like? leafy, hair, slime, blanket, etc

Water source is also important.. RO or tap ?
