Any tips on Jack Dempsey's?

Hey guys I purchased a 2" Jack Dempsey today and just wanted to see if anyone had any tips with them besides the generic things I've found on the internet, he's pretty cool so far and getting used to his tank, I have him alone in a 55 with this setup I know eventually he may get too large and il have to get a 75-90 for him and that's fine, but for now I'd just like some good advice to keep him happy and healthy! Thanks guys!!


55 - Soon to be Cichild tank
46 - Livebearer/Marmorkreb tank
20 - Cobalt Blue Lobster Tank

he should be fine in a 55 for life as long as you don't add a bunch of other large fish.

Not adding anything except possibly 1 rainbow shark but I may keep him alone, and that's awesome news thanks

No still to small. You have to wait a couple more months. They get big pretty quick only had mine for a little over six months and she is already over 3 inches
