Apisto Pair in Community Tank

My apisto atahualpa just randomly died today of unknown causes. I eventually want another. It is very hard to find just one apisto for sale, most people are selling pairs. My question is, would a pair of apistos work in a community tank? My concern is the other dwarf cichlids in the tank. i have a small ram and a small krib, and they will both get bigger. I also have some platies, mollies, an angel and gourami.

So, will a pair of apistos work out with a krib and ram or will I have to just get one?
