Okay, so i bought a java covered driftwood at a lfs. I rinsed it a couple of times and used my shower head to spray down all the loose parts and dirt. Right now, its in an empty tank. I noticed a small bug like creature hiding within the crevices of the driftwood. It looked like a roly poly bug and looked kinda silver. I couldn't take a picture because by the time i got my phone, it was gone. its so small

Is it dangerous? I don't want to put it in my main tank. How do i cleanse my java covered driftwood?

One thing you will notice is that all sorrs of bugs make their way into our tanks. Most of these end up as fish food and very very few are actually dangerous. If it were me personally, i wouldnt worry about it.

Judging by your description, it is either a scud or an aquatic sow bug neither are dangerous and any fish large enough will find them delicious.
