Are there any foreground plants (in other words short plants) that turn red?

Echinodorus tenellus "microleaf" (also known as E tenellus "red") grows a bit red.

Here is my Echinodorus tenellus v. 'Tenellus' AKA Echinodorus tenellus "microleaf".

That's the only one I can think of as well.

any mid-ground ones then ? Are all non-green plants background ones?

I like rotala macrandra as a mid ground...you have to constantly replant it though. Also Ludwigia Sp. can be trimmed to mid-ground height and they develop red leaves
