I bought these 3 as female dwarf gouramis. But now I really am not sure...
Their color was much duller in the shop. But now in my main tank they are a bright metallic blue that seems much too blue for females. Still, if they were all males, I would have expected some fighting while they were together in the 10g quarantine tank, but it was all perfectly calm. And now the only friction between them is one of the plains ones sometimes "picking" on the striped one which only seems slightly annoyed.
The guy at the store said I was lucky that he had females when I visited the store, he never orders them because nobody wants females. He had them because someone asked him to order 3 dwarf blue females for breeding, but then he changed his mind, so he has had them for 3 weeks before I bought them. I intended to buy a male some time later, but I dont want to breed them.
So what are they exactly?
The 3rd one has some stripes, is brighter than the picture show but less so than the other two, and is slightly bigger.
