Im looking to re-home an Assassin snail. I could put it in my 10 gallon QT along with some MTS to keep it fed, but Ive also got a 20 long with its share of MTS. There's also a Nerite snail in that tank though. The Nerite is about 3 times larger than the Assassin.

Would the Nerite be in danger, or do we think that the Assassin will stick to the smaller, easier prey?

Assassins stick with small easy prey. The biggrst I can imaginr them taking is a large MTS. Cant imagine it trying a large nerite snail.

I keep an assassin with 3 nerites and it has never harmed them. I've never seen it go after anything larger than half it's size.

Thanks for the replies everybody.
On closer inspection, the Assassin has some black hair algae growing on its shell. The tank it's coming from is full of the stuff, so this isn't a huge surprise.
I don't want to introduce it to another tank until I can figure out how to treat the algae first.
