Attaching moss to driftwood with superglue- tips?

I'm going to glue some fissidens fontanus to driftwood. Do I need to use tweezers to get just the stem in the glue? Should the root end be left free? Any advice would be appreciated!

I am not so sure about the gluing part. I normally just tie it with thread. You don't really need to worry about what part touches the DW. The are incredibly resilient and will grow fine!
